CRUISING LOG of ANIMA
  DECEMBER 09 - MARCH 10:
In New Zealand

Most of the time in Tauranga I spent working on the boat. A long list of chores had develpoed and here I finalyy had the time to do all these things:

New saloon table
New saloon Seating
Windows out of cast bronze
New Bowsprit
New deck table
Cockpit benches and storage
New stainless shrouds
Handrails inside
New bilgepump
New winches
New drawers and shelf doors in galley
Repairing the dinghy-floor
Haulout with painting whole hull
New non-skid deck paint
Various sewing jobs
and lots of other stuff...

Of course I bought a car for running all necessary errands and, after all, for a two weeks sightseeing trip around the north island in January.

Time passed qucikly and after searching for crew for the passage back to Fiji I found Anne from the Netherlands and Fanny from France, who would join me in Tauranga and stay for 2 months on Anima.
