CRUISING LOG of ANIMA
  JANUARY 09:
From Grenada to Cartagena

On January 5th we sailed off for the Venezuelan offshore islands. They are beautiful! We enjoyed quiet beaches, lonely bays and the marvellous colours of the water. Los Testigos, La Tortuga, Los Roques and Las Aves are well worth spending a few weeks there. Our schedule was more tight so we sailed on to the ABC-Islands, quite a contrast to the places before. But nevertheless good places to stay and finally by Jan 24th we arrived in Aruba where klemens had to fly back to Vienna.

Frida and I continued to the Columbian coast. We decided to do the coatsl route with daytrips wherever possible and that was a good decision. Only once we had to deal with stronger winds up to 30knots with rough seas for a short while. Most of this potentially difficult passage was good, fast sailing and so we arrived safely in Cartagena on Feb 4th.
