Engine electrics:
Two Bosch-Standard-Alternators:
70A loads two consumer batteries with 200Ah each (-> 400Ah Kapazität)
55A loads the starter battery (90Ah)

With this configuration there are two separated circuits, without any accident-sensitive diods or relais. In case of damage of one alternator it can easily be replaced by one of the two spare alternators that are always aboard.

Wireing and circuit diagram:
In 2001 rebuilding of the entire electrical system, using high-grade tinned cables and wires.
Two central junction and fuse boxes, one in the engine room, the other in the main cabin.
Distribution panels near pantry and in the cockpit.

  Solarpanels
Two 50Wp Solarpanels above the awning at the helmstand provide on average sunny days enough power to keep the batteris charged with the switched on refridgerator.

  Towing generator
The Aquair 100 for long passages charges about 4A at 6knots speed. While on anchor it can be converted to a wind generator hoisted in the rigging.

Battery- and charging monitor
Ein Nasa Battery Monitor displays all charging and discharging currents, Voltage and state of the consumer-battery-bank.
